<p rend="indent10" xml:id="par3"><hi rend="large">The</hi> Office of Gravers of the Mint being <lb xml:id="l2"/>Constituted by a Warrant under the Broad Seal dated <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l3"/>7<hi rend="superscript">th.</hi> of April in the 4<hi rend="superscript">th</hi>. year of Her <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Reign, whereby <lb xml:id="l4"/>for the Advantage and safety of the Mint with respect to <lb xml:id="l5"/>the Coin, <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Croker Gent, is appointed head Graver <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi>.</abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l6"/>a Salary of 200<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi> <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> Ann and Samuel Bull and Gabriel <lb xml:id="l7"/>Le Clerk Gent were made Assistants to the Cheif Graver, <lb xml:id="l8"/>Each <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> a Salary of 80<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi> <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> Ann, &amp; upon the voidance of either <lb xml:id="l9"/>of the <choice><abbr>s<hi rend="superscript">d</hi>.</abbr><expan>said</expan></choice> Assistants places the same was to be filled up with such <lb xml:id="l10"/>Probationer or Apprentice as should be presented to her <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">tie</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majestie</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l11"/>by the Warden, Master &amp; Worker &amp; Comptroller of the Mint, by Warrant <lb xml:id="l12"/>under her Royal Signe manual. We humbly represent to your <lb xml:id="l13"/><choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi>.</abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> that <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> place of the <choice><abbr>s<hi rend="superscript">d</hi>.</abbr><expan>said</expan></choice> Gabriel Le Clerk became void about <lb xml:id="l14"/>three Years ago, and thereupon, one Francis Berresford hath been <lb xml:id="l15"/>learning about two years &amp; halfe under the <choice><abbr>s<hi rend="superscript">d</hi>.</abbr><expan>said</expan></choice> M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Croker to  <lb xml:id="l16"/>design in order to Learne the art of Graveing &amp; and is approved  <lb xml:id="l17"/>by the said M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.
