<p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">May it please <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="2"/></p>
<p xml:id="par3">The Porter of the Mint being lately dead, I ordered one <lb xml:id="l2"/>Robert Lowe to do the buisiness till a new Porter should be appointed. <lb xml:id="l3"/>The Place was formerly a Patent place, but now the house belonging <lb xml:id="l4"/>to it is taken away, &amp; the Salary is only 20<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi> per ann. Which <lb xml:id="l5"/>being too little for bearing the charges of a Patent, I humbly pray <lb xml:id="l6"/>that a Porter may be appointed by a Constitution. Robert Lowe <lb xml:id="l7"/>hath hitherto behaved himself with great diligence, &amp; I humbly <lb xml:id="l8"/>pray that he may be appointed if <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> think fit.</p>
