    <p xml:id="par2">And therefore the <del type="strikethrough">taking 6 from the Guinea has had little or <lb xml:id="l2"/>no effect</del> price of gold for exportation has been raised by other cau<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">s</add>es <lb xml:id="l3"/>then the taking six pence from the Guinea. And as for the price of silver <lb xml:id="l4"/><del type="strikethrough">the</del> for exportation, it hath been much the same this year as in former <lb xml:id="l5"/>years with respect to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> coarse <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">of</add> Exchang<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add>, &amp; the <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del> going out of East India <lb xml:id="l6"/>ships.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par3">— &amp; some Gold has been sent to the Mints in France.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par4">— to the Mint again, there <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">h</add>aving come to the Mint above 7<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">5</add> thousand <lb xml:id="l7"/>pounds <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">i</add>n gold <del type="strikethrough">to the Mint <unclear reason="del" cert="low">since</unclear></del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">since</add> the Exchange was at 34. 11<del type="strikethrough">.     <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par5">but it never raised it to more then 4<hi rend="superscript"><unclear reason="hand"><del type="over">s</del><add place="over" indicator="no">l</add></unclear></hi>. <add place="inline" indicator="no">0.</add> 6<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> <choice><abbr>p<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>per</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>oz</abbr><expan>ounce</expan></choice> <del type="cancelled">&amp;</del> nor kept it long <lb xml:id="l9"/>at that price. For in March last <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">forreign</add> Gold fell down below the old Mint price <lb xml:id="l10"/>&amp; hath ever<del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del> since continued below it<del type="over">.</del><add place="over" indicator="no">,</add> <del type="strikethrough">And</del> being at 3. 19. 5 &amp; for the <lb xml:id="l11"/>most part at 3<hi rend="superscript">li</hi>. 19<hi rend="superscript">s</hi> &amp; under. And therefore the taking six pence from <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l12"/>Guinea hath <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">not</add> rai<del type="over">d</del><add place="over" indicator="no">s</add>ed the pri<del type="over">d</del><add place="over" indicator="no">c</add>e of forreign Gold for ex<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">p</add>ortation, &amp; the old <lb xml:id="l13"/>Mint price <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">of Gold</add> was too high, <del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">&amp;</unclear></del> it having been almost all this year above <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l14"/>price of <del type="strikethrough">forreign</del> gold <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">f</add>or exportation to forreign markets. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
    
    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par6">in 5. Forreigners who are paid here in Guineas will lose above 3<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> per <lb xml:id="l15"/>Guinea by exportion the<add place="inline" indicator="no">m</add> <del type="strikethrough">moneys</del> besides the danger<del type="strikethrough">, they run</del> they <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">r</add>un by <lb xml:id="l16"/>breaking the Law.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par7">And if any guineas have been ex<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">p</add>orted, a much greater number have been <lb xml:id="l17"/>coined.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par8">Obs. 6. There ha<del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="medium">ve</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">th</add> been above 110000<hi rend="superscript">li</hi> <del type="strikethrough">coined</del> <del type="strikethrough">since C<del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="medium">h</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">o</add>ined</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">imported in Gold to be coined</add> since <lb xml:id="l18"/>Christmas. And the 6<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> per Guinea saved in <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del> all this coinage will <lb xml:id="l19"/>recompence abundantly the loss of 6<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> per Guinea <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in all the Guineas</add> <del type="over">im</del><add place="over" indicator="no">ex</add>ported <add place="infralinear" indicator="no">in the same time</add> by forreig<lb xml:id="l20"/>ners<add place="inline" indicator="no">.</add> <del type="strikethrough">since Christmas.
