    <p rend="indent5" xml:id="par1"><hi rend="large">The Enacting Clause</hi> which continues all the former Acts <lb xml:id="l1"/>may be restrained to the Mint in England by Inserting the words <lb xml:id="l2"/><hi rend="bold">[</hi>With Relation to the Mint or Mints in England<hi rend="bold">]</hi> or some such Words.</p>
    
    <p rend="indent10" xml:id="par2">And the following Clauses may succeed it. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
    
    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3"><hi rend="larger">And Whereas</hi> <hi rend="large">B</hi>y the Act of Vnion Made in the Sixth <lb xml:id="l3"/>Year of Queen Anne, A Mint is to be Continued in Scotland under the Same <lb xml:id="l4"/>Rules as the Mint in England: Be it further Enacted that all the Moneys <lb xml:id="l5"/>arising in England by this Act shall be Issued out of His Majesty's <lb xml:id="l6"/>Exchequer to the Master and <choice><sic>Maker</sic><corr>Worker</corr></choice> or Masters and Workers of His Majesty's <lb xml:id="l7"/>Mint or Mints in England as formerly by the Order or Warrands of the <lb xml:id="l8"/>Lord Treasurer of Great Brittain and Chancellour of the Exchequer, or <lb xml:id="l9"/>Lords Commissioners of the Treasury or any three or more of the said <lb xml:id="l10"/>Commissioners for the time being, And that all the Moneys arising in <lb xml:id="l11"/>Scotland by this Act shall be Issued out of His Majesty's Exchequer to the <lb xml:id="l12"/>Master and Worker or Masters and Workers of His Majesty's Mint or Mints <lb xml:id="l13"/>in Scotland by the like Order or Warrands and be kept in His Majesty's <lb xml:id="l14"/>Office of Receipt in the said Mint under the usuall Keys of the Master and <lb xml:id="l15"/>Worker, Warden and Counter-Warden or Comptroller of the said Mint for the <lb xml:id="l16"/>time being and Issued out thence from time to time according to the Manner <lb xml:id="l17"/>and Course of His Majesty's Mint in England, And that here shall not be Issued <lb xml:id="l18"/>out from thence in any one Year for the Fees and Sallarys of the Officers <lb xml:id="l19"/>of the said Mint or Officers who pass the Accompts, and towards the providing <lb xml:id="l20"/>Maintaining and repairing of the Houses Offices and Buildings and other <lb xml:id="l21"/>things Necessary to the said Mint for <choice><sic>Essaying</sic><corr>Assaying</corr></choice>, Melting down and <lb xml:id="l22"/>Coyning above the sume of <space dim="horizontal" unit="chars" extent="6"/> Hundred Pounds Sterling Moneys, And <lb xml:id="l23"/>the Overplus of the said Moneys so kept or to be kept as aforesaid shall be <lb xml:id="l24"/>employed for and towards the Expence Waste and Charge of <choice><sic>Essaying</sic><corr>Assaying</corr></choice>, <lb xml:id="l25"/>Melting down and Coynage and the Buying in of Gold and Silver to Coyn, <lb xml:id="l26"/>and the necessary Charge of Incidents which accompany the Coynage, <lb xml:id="l27"/>and not otherwise.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par4"><hi rend="large">And Whereas</hi> the Moneys arising by this Act have been <lb xml:id="l28"/>found insufficient for defraying the Charges of the said Mints: Be it further <lb xml:id="l29"/>Enacted by the Authority aforesaid that over and above the Moneys arising <lb xml:id="l30"/>by this Act. It shall and may be Lawfull to and for the Lord Treasurer <lb xml:id="l31"/>of Great Brittain, and under Treasurer, or Commissioners of the Treasury
    
    <fw type="catch" place="bottomRight">or</fw><pb xml:id="p378v" n="378v"/>
        
        or any place three or more of the said Commissioners for the time being, By Order <lb xml:id="l32"/>or Warrands to Issue out of the Exchequer or dispose of the Moneys in <lb xml:id="l33"/>any Publick Funds or Funds given or which shall be given by Act of <lb xml:id="l34"/>Parliament, Yearly and every Year from and after the Commencement <lb xml:id="l35"/>and during the Continuance of this Act and no longer, such sume or <lb xml:id="l36"/>sumes of Money as he or they shall <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">think</add> necessary and reasonable for the <lb xml:id="l37"/>use and service of the said Mints or either of them, and Mentioning <lb xml:id="l38"/>that they are for the use and service of the Mint, to which they are <lb xml:id="l39"/>Imprest, Which Moneys together with the Coynage Duty shall not in any <lb xml:id="l40"/>one Year exceed the sume of Fifteen Thousand Pounds Sterling Moneys for <lb xml:id="l41"/>the use and service of both the said Mints, nor the sume of <space dim="horizontal" unit="chars" extent="12"/> <lb xml:id="l42"/>Hundred Pounds Sterling Moneys for the use and service of the Mint in Scotland <lb xml:id="l43"/>alone, And shall be kept under the usuall Keys in the Office of His Majesty's <lb xml:id="l44"/>Mint to which they are Imprest and be Issued out thence from time to time <lb xml:id="l45"/>in the same Manner and for the same uses and under the same Restrictions <lb xml:id="l46"/>with the said Coynage Duty, Any thing in any Law Statute, or Vsage to <lb xml:id="l47"/>the Contrary Notwithstanding.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par5"><hi rend="large">Provided</hi> allways, And Be it further Enacted by the Authority <lb xml:id="l48"/>aforesaid, That no Moneys of Gold or Silver shall be Coyned in the said <lb xml:id="l49"/>Mint in Scotland otherwise then by the hands of Monyers as in <lb xml:id="l50"/>England, the Master and Worker, Warden and Counter Warden attending <lb xml:id="l51"/>to Oversee and Survey the <choice><sic>Essaying</sic><corr>Assaying</corr></choice>, Melting and Coyning, so that the <lb xml:id="l52"/>Moneys may be well and justly C<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">o</add>yned in Weight fineness and <choice><orig><hi rend="underline">form.</hi></orig><reg>form.</reg></choice></p>
