    <p xml:id="par1"><hi rend="large">Our Will</hi> &amp; pleasure is &amp; We do hereby authorise &amp; command <lb xml:id="l1"/>you, out of such moneys as<del type="blockStrikethrough"><del type="over">,</del><add place="over" indicator="no">[</add> <del type="strikethrough">pursuant to an Act of Parliament <lb xml:id="l2"/>made in the first year of our reign; entituled An act to continue <lb xml:id="l3"/>Duties for encouraging the coinage of money, &amp;c</del>]</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">have been or</add> shall be issued <lb xml:id="l4"/>unto you out of our Exchequer by the Lord High Treasurer <lb xml:id="l5"/>or any three or more of the Commissioners of our Treasury for <lb xml:id="l6"/>the time being by way of imprest &amp; upon account for the use <lb xml:id="l7"/>&amp; service of our <del type="strikethrough">said</del> Mint <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in Scotland</add>, to pay unto the Officers of our <lb xml:id="l8"/>said Mint, their salaries commencing from Christmas which was <lb xml:id="l9"/>in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred &amp; fourteen <lb xml:id="l10"/>according to the following yearly allowances, that is to say, reserving <lb xml:id="l11"/>to your self the salary of 300<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi> per <choice><abbr>an<hi rend="overline">n</hi></abbr><expan>annum</expan></choice>, &amp; paying yearly to <lb xml:id="l12"/>the <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">M</add>aster 200<hi rend="superscript">li</hi>, to the Principal Warden 150<hi rend="superscript">li</hi> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">until the next voidance of this place<choice><sic>,</sic><corr type="noText"/></choice></add>, to the <lb xml:id="l13"/>Counter-Warden or Comptroller 60<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi>, to the Assaymaster 100<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi> <lb xml:id="l14"/>to the Sinker or Graver 50<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi>, to the Kings Clerk &amp; Clerk of <lb xml:id="l15"/>the papers &amp; irons 40<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi>, &amp; to the Master Smith <del type="over">4</del><add place="over" indicator="no">3</add>0<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi>: <del type="blockStrikethrough"><add place="inline" indicator="no">[</add>all which <lb xml:id="l16"/>payments amount<add place="inline infralinear" indicator="no">ing</add> unto 930<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></hi> annually, you are to make by <lb xml:id="l17"/>four equal portions at Lady day, Midsummer, <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Michaelmas</add> &amp; Christmas.<add place="inline" indicator="no">]</add></del> And our further will &amp; pleasure is that out of the aforesaid <lb xml:id="l18"/>moneys you do also pay all charges of coinage &amp; all charges <lb xml:id="l19"/>of keeping the Offices of the said Mint &amp; the coining Tools <lb xml:id="l20"/>in repair, &amp; the dwelling houses of the Officers within the <lb xml:id="l21"/>said Mint wind &amp; water tite, the Bills of the <del type="strikethrough">said</del> incident <lb xml:id="l22"/>charges being first duly examined &amp; approved by the said <lb xml:id="l23"/>Master, Warden, &amp; Counter-warden under their hands<choice><sic>;</sic><corr type="delText">;</corr></choice> <del type="strikethrough">&amp; that</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><del type="strikethrough">&amp; a Controllment Roll being of all the moneys coined being made upon oath <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del> by</del></add> <add place="infralinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">the Counterwarden; &amp; that annually &amp; that</del> or by any two of them whereof the Master</add> <lb xml:id="l24"/><add place="infralinear" indicator="yes">to be one, and that</add> you make up your Accounts annually of all the moneys <lb xml:id="l25"/>by you received &amp; paid as above. And for so doing this shall be <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">to you &amp; all others concerned</add> a sufficient Warrant.
