    <p xml:id="par4"><hi rend="larger">H</hi><hi rend="large">er <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice></hi> Order in Councill directing <lb xml:id="l1"/>severall Foreigne gold Coynes to be made Current <lb xml:id="l2"/>in this Kingdome, having bin transmitted to Vs, <lb xml:id="l3"/>Wee did, in Order to put her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Commands in <lb xml:id="l4"/>Execution, consider the Proclamation Issued in <lb xml:id="l5"/>Iune 1701. for making Forreigne Coyne Current <lb xml:id="l6"/>in this Kingdome, which directed allowances to be <lb xml:id="l7"/>made for any deficiency in any piece of gold or <lb xml:id="l8"/>silver Coyne then made Current: But taking <lb xml:id="l9"/>notice that in her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Said Order there are not <lb xml:id="l10"/>any directions for making such allowances, Wee <lb xml:id="l11"/>would not take upon Vs to make any addition <lb xml:id="l12"/>to the directions given by her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">tie</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majestie</expan></choice> without <lb xml:id="l13"/>the signification of her Pleasure therein, and <lb xml:id="l14"/>therefore Wee have thought fit to transmit to <lb xml:id="l15"/>your Grace her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Said Order, as alsoe the <lb xml:id="l16"/>said late Proclamation, that you may please <lb xml:id="l17"/>to lay the same before her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> for her further <lb xml:id="l18"/>consideration.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par5"><hi rend="large">W</hi>ee take this opportunity of acquainting <lb xml:id="l19"/>Your Grace that in the late Fire which happen'd <lb xml:id="l20"/>at the Councill Chamber, the Originall

    <fw type="catch" place="bottomRight">Proclamation</fw><pb xml:id="p232v" n="232v"/>Proclamation which passed under the Great Seale <lb xml:id="l21"/>for making Forreigne Coynes that passed in <lb xml:id="l22"/>payment here Current, was destroyed, soe that the <lb xml:id="l23"/>Clerke of the Councill cannot Certifie that the <lb xml:id="l24"/>printed Proclamation agrees verbatim with the <lb xml:id="l25"/>Originall under the Great Seal, as the late Act <lb xml:id="l26"/>of <choice><abbr>Parliam<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Parliament</expan></choice> which passed in 1709. requires, for <lb xml:id="l27"/>the conviction of persons who shall counterfeit, <lb xml:id="l28"/>the Coyne made Current by Proclamation, And <lb xml:id="l29"/><add place="supralinear lineBeginning" indicator="yes">therefore</add> it being necessary to renew the said former <lb xml:id="l30"/>Proclamation, Wee humbly pray your Grace <lb xml:id="l31"/>to lay this whole matter before her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> that <lb xml:id="l32"/>Wee may have her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Orders (if she shall <lb xml:id="l33"/>be soe graciously pleased) to insert all <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">i</add>n one <lb xml:id="l34"/>new Proclamation, with directions to make <lb xml:id="l35"/>the proper allowances for deficiency in weig<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">h</add>t <lb xml:id="l36"/>as in the said former Proclamation is mentioned, which We Neverthelesse <lb xml:id="l37"/>most humbly submit to your Graces
