    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3">Her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Order in Council directing several forreign gold <lb xml:id="l2"/>coynes to be made current in this Kingdome, having bin <lb xml:id="l3"/>transmitted to us, We did in Order to put her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> commands <lb xml:id="l4"/>in execution consider the Proclamation issued Iune 1711 <lb xml:id="l5"/>for making forreign coyne current in this Kingdome <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> directed <lb xml:id="l6"/>allowances ot be made for any deficiency in any piece of gold <lb xml:id="l7"/>or silver coyne then made current. But taking notice that <lb xml:id="l8"/>in her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> said Order there are not any directions for making <lb xml:id="l9"/><choice><sic>for making</sic><corr type="noText"/></choice> making such allowances We would not take upon us to <lb xml:id="l10"/>make any addition to the directions given by her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> without <lb xml:id="l11"/>the signification of her pleasure therein, and therefore We <lb xml:id="l12"/>have thought fit to transmit to your Grace her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> said <lb xml:id="l13"/>Order as also the said late Proclamation that you may <lb xml:id="l14"/>please to lay the same before her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> for her further con<lb xml:id="l15"/>sideration.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par4">We take this opportunity of acquainting your Grace that in <lb xml:id="l16"/>the late fire <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> happened at the Council Chamber, the Original <lb xml:id="l17"/>Proclamation <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> passed under the Great seal for making <lb xml:id="l18"/>Forreign Coynes that passed in payment here current, was <lb xml:id="l19"/>destroyed so that the Cl<unclear reason="hand"><del type="over">e</del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add></unclear>rk of the Council cannot certify <lb xml:id="l20"/>that the printed Proclamation agrees verbatim with the Original <lb xml:id="l21"/>under the great seal as the late Act of Parliament <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> passed <lb xml:id="l22"/>in 1709 requires for the conviction of persons who shall <lb xml:id="l23"/>counterfeit the coyn made current by Proclamation. And <lb xml:id="l24"/>therefore it being necessary to renew the said former Pro<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l25"/>clamation, We humbly p<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">r</add>ay your Grace to lay this <lb xml:id="l26"/>whole matter before her <choice><abbr>M<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add><hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>M<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add>jesty</expan></choice> that We may have her <lb xml:id="l27"/><choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Orders (if shall be so gra<choice><unclear reason="hand"><del type="over">t</del><add place="over" indicator="no">c</add></unclear><unclear reason="hand">t</unclear></choice>iously pleased) to insert all <lb xml:id="l28"/>in one new Proclamation <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> directiosn to make the proper <lb xml:id="l29"/>allowances for deficiency in wieght as in the said former <lb xml:id="l30"/>Proclamation is mentioned, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> We nevertheless most humbly <lb xml:id="l31"/>submit to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> Graces consideration &amp; remain</p>

<p xml:id="par15">My Lord Treasurer having received from M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Southwell <lb xml:id="l33"/>the inclosed Representation from the Lords of the Privy Council <lb xml:id="l34"/>in Ireland desiring some alteration to be made in a late <lb xml:id="l35"/>Order of Council, &amp; the Proclamation intended thereby <lb xml:id="l36"/>relating to the currency of forreign coynes in that Kingdom <lb xml:id="l37"/>I am commanded (in the absence of the secretaries) <lb xml:id="l38"/>to transmit to you the said Representation with the <lb xml:id="l39"/>said Order of Council &amp; other papers <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> you are desired <lb xml:id="l40"/>to peruse &amp; Report to his <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> assoon as conveniently you <lb xml:id="l41"/>can what you think proper to be done <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> respect to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> altera<lb xml:id="l42"/>tion proposed by the Lords of the Council of Ireland.
