    <p xml:id="par2"><hi rend="larger">Whereas</hi> Whereas Our Commons in Parliament assembled 
        <lb xml:id="l1"/>did on the First Instant Resolve that for encourageing the 
        <lb xml:id="l2"/>bringing wrought Plate into Our Mint to <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">be</add> coined there should 
        <lb xml:id="l3"/>be allowed to such Persons as should so bring the same after the 
        <lb xml:id="l4"/>rate of Five Shillings and five pence <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> ounce for the Old 
        <lb xml:id="l5"/>Standard, and Five Shillings and Eight Pence <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> Ounce for the 
        <lb xml:id="l6"/>New Standard for all Plate on which the Mark of the Goldsmiths 
        <lb xml:id="l7"/>Company of London or any other City is set and for uncertain Plate 
        <lb xml:id="l8"/>not so marked (being reduced to Standard) after the rate of Five 
        <lb xml:id="l9"/>Shillings and Six pence <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> Ounce. <hi rend="large">And Whereas</hi> our said 
        <lb xml:id="l10"/>Commons by their Address of the fifth Instant have besought Vs 
        <lb xml:id="l11"/>to give direction to the Officers of our Mint to receive in all such 
        <lb xml:id="l12"/>wrought Plate as should be so brought to them and to give Receip<supplied reason="foxed">ts</supplied> 
        <lb xml:id="l13"/>to such Persons as should bring the same for the amount thereof 
        <lb xml:id="l14"/>at the several rates and Prices aforesaid, and that the same may
        <lb xml:id="l15"/>be immediately Coined into Shillings &amp; Six Pences <hi rend="large">Our Will &amp; 
            <lb xml:id="l16"/>Pleasure</hi> is and Wee do hereby Authorize and Command That 
        <lb xml:id="l17"/>You the Warden Master &amp; Worker and Comptroller of Our Mint 
        <lb xml:id="l18"/>in the Tower of London Do take and receive from all Persons &amp; 
        <lb xml:id="l19"/>Bodies Politick or Corporate all such Wrought Plate as they or 
        <lb xml:id="l20"/>any of them shall bring to our said Mint of the Kinds &amp; Standards 
        <lb xml:id="l21"/>above mentioned And that you do give such Receipts for the same 
        <lb xml:id="l22"/>respectively as are desired by the said Address of our Commons and 
        <lb xml:id="l23"/>forthwith cause the same to be melted down and <choice><orig>Essayed</orig><reg>Assayed</reg></choice> And That 
        <lb xml:id="l24"/>you the Master &amp; Worker of our said Mint do immediately Coine 
        <lb xml:id="l25"/>the same into Shillings and Six pences and pay the Monys produced 
        <lb xml:id="l26"/>into the Receipt of Our Exchequer and take Tallys for your Discharge 
        <lb xml:id="l27"/>And for so doing this shall be <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">to</add> you and all others herein concerned 
        <lb xml:id="l28"/>a sufficient Warrant Given at our Court at S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ames's this tenth
