                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par1"><handShift new="#und" scribe="Clerical_Hand"/><hi rend="large">I</hi>n Obedience to your Lordship's order of reference of the 9<hi rend="superscript">th</hi>. instant <lb xml:id="l1"/>upon the annexed representation of the Gentlemen Owners of Tin <lb xml:id="l2"/>Lands in Cornwall to the Lord Warden of the Stannarys, <lb xml:id="l3"/>wherein they desire that a convocation or <choice><abbr>Parliam<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Parliament</expan></choice> of Tinners <lb xml:id="l4"/>may be held before the determination of the present contract, <lb xml:id="l5"/>that proper measures may be taken to sett another on foot <lb xml:id="l6"/>at such price as that her <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> may be no Looser thereby <lb xml:id="l7"/>and by which such farther quantity of Tin beyond the present <lb xml:id="l8"/>Stipulation be taken as may prevent the inconveniencys they <lb xml:id="l9"/>now Labour under upon that account.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par2">We humbly represent to your Lordship that we have <lb xml:id="l10"/>considered the same, and upon the best computation we can <lb xml:id="l11"/>make, We are humbly of opinion that, if Interest of the money <lb xml:id="l12"/>advanced upon the Tin be recconed <del type="strikethrough">only</del> at 5 per cent, her <lb xml:id="l13"/><choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> may afford to give £3. 10. –. per hundred Stannary Weight <lb xml:id="l14"/>the Tinners paying the Coynage duty, and post groats<choice><sic>)</sic><corr type="noText"/></choice> or an <lb xml:id="l15"/>equivalent, provided <del type="strikethrough">that</del> her <choice><abbr>maj<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>majesty</expan></choice> takes no more Tin <lb xml:id="l16"/>then the consumption may annually carry off<add place="inline" indicator="no">:</add> <del type="cancelled">we <gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="4"/> better <lb xml:id="l17"/><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="words" extent="5"/> present</del><add place="supralinear interlinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">and we <gap reason="illgblDel" unit="words" extent="2"/> <lb xml:id="l18"/>conceive that there will remain upwards of <unclear reason="del" cert="low">2000</unclear><hi rend="superscript"><unclear reason="del" cert="low"><hi rend="overline">li</hi></unclear></hi> yearly by her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice></del></add> <hi rend="superscript">tt<hi rend="superscript">o</hi>.</hi> <addSpan spanTo="#addend480r-01" place="p480r-lower" startDescription="lower down f 480r" endDescription="higher up f 480r" resp="#mjh"/>tt<hi rend="superscript">o</hi>. <del type="strikethrough">and we humbly conceive that</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">and upon that reckoning</add> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><del type="strikethrough">upon <unclear reason="del" cert="low">an</unclear> Equal recconing</del></add> the<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">r</add>e <del type="strikethrough">will</del> remain<add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><del type="strikethrough"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="words" extent="2"/></del></add><add place="inline" indicator="no">ed</add> upwards of £2000 <lb xml:id="l19"/>yearly to her <choice><abbr>maj<hi rend="superscript">ty's</hi>.</abbr><expan>majesty's</expan></choice> <del type="strikethrough">advantage, to be applyed as your Lordship <lb xml:id="l20"/>shall think Fitt</del> <anchor xml:id="addend480r-01"/> <add place="infralinear" indicator="no"><choice><sic><del type="strikethrough"><supplied reason="copy">ad</supplied>vantage</del></sic><corr>advantage</corr></choice> and the better to make a Iudgment <del type="strikethrough">where</del>of <add place="lineEnd" indicator="no"><choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <gap reason="hand" unit="chars" extent="2"/></add></add> <choice><orig><lb type="intentional" xml:id="l21"/>—</orig><reg><lb xml:id="l22"/></reg></choice>e farther humbly certifie to your Lordship that by <lb xml:id="l23"/>the accounts of the sale of Tin it doth appear that in the <lb xml:id="l24"/>four last years there has been sold at a medium about <lb xml:id="l25"/>15<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/>5</del><add place="over" indicator="no">60</add> Tuns Stannary Weight per annum, which is less then <lb xml:id="l26"/>the quantity received annually from both Cornwall and <lb xml:id="l27"/>Devonshire by about 8<del type="over">5</del><add place="over" indicator="no">0</add> Tuns per annum, and <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">it may be recconed</add> that near <lb xml:id="l28"/>the same Quantity will <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="6"/> <unclear reason="del" cert="low">happen</unclear></del> be yearly sold <lb xml:id="l29"/>during the present Warr, but we may reasonnably h<gap reason="hand" unit="chars" extent="3"/> <lb xml:id="l30"/>that in time of peace a <del type="strikethrough">much</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">quantity</add> will go off, <del type="strikethrough">which <lb xml:id="l31"/>we presume</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">and that</add> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">it</add> may amount to Two hundred Tuns per annum, or <lb xml:id="l32"/>more.</p>
