<p rend="indent0" xml:id="par1">In obedience to an Order of Reference of the late Lords Iustices dated <lb xml:id="l1"/>11<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> Octob. 1720 upon a Memorial of M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Rotherham proposing a new <lb xml:id="l2"/>method of coyning the moneys of Gold &amp; Silver so as to prevent the coun<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l3"/>terfeiting <del type="strikethrough">of the current coin</del> thereof &amp; to make it more durable provided <lb xml:id="l4"/>he may be assured of a Reward before he discovers his secret &amp; praying <lb xml:id="l5"/>that it may be examined: I humbly represent that he offers nothing to <lb xml:id="l6"/>be examined &amp; without examination I am in the dark &amp; know not <lb xml:id="l7"/>what report to make. I take him to be <del type="strikethrough">an idle<choice><unclear reason="del" cert="medium">r he</unclear><unclear reason="del" cert="low"> who</unclear></choice></del> a trifler more fit <lb xml:id="l8"/>to embroyle the coinage then to mend it.</p>
