                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">May it please <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice></p>
                
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3">We have according to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> directions considered the petition <lb xml:id="l2"/>of M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ames Roettiers hereunto annexed, &amp; do most humbly <lb xml:id="l3"/>represent that tis very true that the Dyes &amp; Puncheons in <lb xml:id="l4"/>his custody were seized by direction of a Committee of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> House <lb xml:id="l5"/>of Commons backt with a vote of the House, &amp; that by <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l6"/><choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> order he was afterwards removed from the <choice><abbr>imploym<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>imployment</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l7"/>of Engraver to his <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Mint, &amp; his working-rooms &amp; Tools <lb xml:id="l8"/>were seized by the Warden &amp; Master &amp; Worker. That the <lb xml:id="l9"/>Warden soon after restored <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">almost</add> all his tools to his Father, &amp; <lb xml:id="l10"/>told him that before his sons departure to Flanders the <lb xml:id="l11"/>rest should be restored together <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> such Dyes &amp; Puncheons <lb xml:id="l12"/>as were his. That we know not how far M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Harris may <lb xml:id="l13"/>have engaged himself to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> to make new Puncheons <lb xml:id="l14"/>as good as M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Roettiers, but we have hitherto endeavoured <lb xml:id="l15"/>to engage him (contrary to his mind) to copy after M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Roet<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l16"/>tier's Puncheons that the money may be all alike. And <lb xml:id="l17"/>that M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Neale intends to pay him his demand of sixty <lb xml:id="l18"/>pounds &amp; tenn shillings, &amp; with <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> approbation <lb xml:id="l19"/>to give him fifty pounds more (being <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> summ he desired) <lb xml:id="l20"/>for <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> five hundred pair of Dyes for the Country <lb xml:id="l21"/>Mints.</p>

<p xml:id="par4">And we most humbly submit it to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> great <lb xml:id="l22"/>wisdome whether he shall be any more imployed as En<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l23"/>graver in his <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Mint or allowed a maintenance here <lb xml:id="l24"/>till M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Harris shall shew such specimens of his Art as <lb xml:id="l25"/>he may have promissed to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> or return with <lb xml:id="l26"/>his family to Brussels his native country. And we also most <lb xml:id="l27"/>humbly desire <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p's</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship's</expan></choice> direction about the Medal-Dyes <lb xml:id="l28"/>&amp; Puncheons whether they shall be restored to him, &amp; about <lb xml:id="l29"/>his father whether he shall still be allowed an habitation <lb xml:id="l30"/>in the Mint.</p>
