                <p rend="indent10" xml:id="par2">The humble Petition of <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Croker Chief Engraver and <lb xml:id="l2"/>Samuel Bull his Assistant Graver in his Majesties Mint <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="3"/></p>
                
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3"><hi rend="largest">Sheweth</hi></p>
                
                <p rend="indent10" xml:id="par4"><hi rend="bold"><hi rend="largest">T</hi><hi rend="larger">hat</hi></hi> your Petitioners have been Imployed in the Mint and <lb xml:id="l3"/>have performed the Business of the Engraver there for near Eighteen Years, during <lb xml:id="l4"/>which time they have made all the several Dyes for all the species of Gold <lb xml:id="l5"/>and Silver Monies, as well as for all the Medals struck by publick Authority. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="2"/></p>
                
                <p rend="indent10" xml:id="par5"><hi rend="larger">That</hi> for Tenn years past your Petitioner <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Croker has by Letters <lb xml:id="l6"/>Patents been constituted the Chief Engraver, and <choice><abbr>Yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</abbr><expan>Your</expan></choice> Petitioner Samuel Bull <lb xml:id="l7"/>has acted as his Assistant by the same Letter Patents; and for their conduct in <lb xml:id="l8"/>their Respective Stations they humbly referr themselves to the principal <lb xml:id="l9"/>Officers in his Majesties Mint. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
                
                <p rend="indent10" xml:id="par6"><hi rend="large">That</hi> the said Letter Patents will of course expire in a few days <lb xml:id="l10"/>whereby your <choice><sic>Petioners</sic><corr>Petitioners</corr></choice> will be oblig'd to suspend their whole business and operations in <lb xml:id="l11"/>the Graving for the service of the Mint. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="3"/></p>
                
                <p rend="indent15" xml:id="par7"><hi rend="larger">Y</hi>our <hi rend="large">P</hi>etitioners therefore most humbly prays Your Lordships</p>
                <p rend="indent15" xml:id="par8">would please to grant them your Warrant for a New Patent <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">or a Constitution</add> that</p>
                <p rend="indent15" xml:id="par9">they may proceed in the business of the Engravers place without</p>
                <p rend="indent15" xml:id="par10">any loss of time to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Publick. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="4"/></p>
