The Officers of the Mint RecrsReceivers of Customes & Excize and Tellers Clerks are called in.

Mr Peyton produced a Crown & SevllSeverall half Crownes diminished by Washing

Mr AttAttorney & SollrSollicitor say diminishing is wiythin yethe law agtagainst Treason.

Mr Pauncefoot saies the Tallow chandlrschandlers at first brotbrought great quantitys of Counterfeit momoney.

Mr Ferne says, there is not much bad momoney comes to his hands

Mr Lilly says he always tells + weighs yethe momoney. Much brass was brotbrought at first but not at prresent, he finds the wtweight wanting to be 2 or 3 ounces in a bag.

My Lord ordrs that the reasonable wearing only of yethe 6dsd 1s'ss & Crowns or half Crownes be exactly sepparately be adjusted + a Medium taken from thence for yethe ordinary wear of a bag in wchwhich those pieces are promiscuously putt. The Officers of yethe Mint are to consider how to prrevent the Counterfeiting of the Copper half pence & farthings.
