That in yethe month of Iune 1706 (there being then little or no business for him at yethe Tower) he obtained Leave from yethe principal Officers of yethe Mint. to go for for three months to see his parents & settle some affaires there, but being afterwards detained there by yethe Electors. Hannover & Palatine to performe some services in yethe Mints. Their brightness did from time to time by theire Minister here solicit for his longer stay till those services were perform'd as the Elector Palatine hath signify'd to YorYour LordspLordship by Letter. & Barron Schutz has likewise commands to attend your LordspLordship from yoryour Elector of Hannover to yethe same purpose

That yor.youryour PeionrPetitioner was detained abroad five Quarters in ꝑper yethe services aforesaid amounting to one hundred pounds (which he humbly hoped to have servd.served at His return but Sr.Sir Isaac Newton informs thim that the accott.accountt for yethe last year are made up & therefore cann̄nnot pay him his salary due without yor.your LordspsLordships particuler direiondirection

He therefore humbly prays your LordspsLordships consideraionation to his services abroad, attended wthwith the recomendaionrecomendation of those noble princes who occaiondoccasiond his stay & in regard theire Ministers here did from time to time obtaine have for his absence. humbly hope yor.your LordspLordship will give imediate direiondirection. that he may be paid his saide five Quarters salary to enable him to go on cheerfully in his duty for yethe future
