By the Indenture of the Mint the Warden and Master & Worker are directed to account yearly, and by a late act of Parliament they are ordered to exhibit copyes of such accounts to the Commrs.Commissioners appointed as other Accomptants are.

Her Majties.Majesties Assay Master being having been dead above twelve months, and his place having been supplied ever since and long before his death by Charles Brattle his Brother for enabling the Warden & Master to complete their Accounts for the year ending at ChrmasChristmas last, we humbly pray that your Lordsp.Lordship will be pleased to appoint such allowances as your Lordsp.Lordship shall think fit to the said Mr Brattel & his Clerk for their service for the said year. The salary of the Queens Assaymaster upon the Indenture of the Mint being 200li. ꝑper annannum & that of his Clerk 200li per annannum
