Thomas Smart Bedell of Thieving Lane Ward in St. Margarets ꝑparish Westmr.Westminster deposeth that abots.abouts one of the Clock on Sunday morning he went to the house of IJohn Penniston (being the Feather Tavern in Kingstreet westmr.westminster) to see what company was there and here saw IJosiahss Bellon whose wife is sister to Mrs. Penniston the wife of the said IJohn Pen̄nnyston and asking what man that was Mrs. Pennyston made answer that it was one of her Lodgers a very evill man and the Deponent asking how he should know that she answered that he should be forthcomeing in the morn And the Deponent returning within less then an hour with IJohn White constable and William Blackshaw Bedell the said Mrs. Pennyston own that the man above menitioned whom this DepontDeponent had seen there before was IJosias Bellon her sisters husband and said that he was just gone home and she would see him forthcoming in the morning
