                <p rend="center" xml:id="par1">The Informa<choice><orig><hi rend="overline">c</hi></orig><reg>ti</reg></choice>on of henry Saunders of Cross Lane in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l1"/><choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>par</reg></choice>ish of S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. Gyles in the fields in the County of <choice><abbr>M<hi rend="overline">iddx</hi></abbr><expan>Middlesex</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l2"/>Tallow Chandler aug<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. <choice><orig><hi rend="underline">1698</hi></orig><reg>1698</reg></choice></p>
                
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">Who saith that <choice><abbr>abo<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>about</expan></choice> october last past one michaell Gillinham who <lb xml:id="l3"/>lives near Charing Cross called of this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> at his house in the white<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l4"/>Fryers and desired this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> to go with him to <choice><orig>w</orig><reg>W</reg></choice>apping to Thomas <lb xml:id="l5"/>Holloway who then lodged there for <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> (as Gillingham said) the said <lb xml:id="l6"/>Hollway refused to go into Scotland till he had seen this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> in <lb xml:id="l7"/>order to desire him to see <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> the said Gillingham took some care of <lb xml:id="l8"/>Scotland and this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> did go with the said Gillingham to Holloway <lb xml:id="l9"/>to the Turk's head near Armitage Bridge in Wapping to one <lb xml:id="l10"/>M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Brownes and this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> saw the said Gillingham give a su<choice><orig>m̄</orig><reg>mm</reg></choice> <lb xml:id="l11"/>of money to Holloway and Holloway did make a bargaine with a <lb xml:id="l12"/>Master of a ship (who was commonly called Skipper Lawes) to <lb xml:id="l13"/>carry him into Scotland and gave him some money in hand <lb xml:id="l14"/>and another day a litle time after the said Gillingham called <lb xml:id="l15"/>again of this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> and this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> did then go with him <lb xml:id="l16"/>so the <choice><abbr>s<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>said</expan></choice> Thomas Holloway to Wapping and did <choice><abbr>yn</abbr><expan>then</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l17"/>go with Tho: Holloway and his wife to Bow where

                    Holloway sealed a Letter of Attorney to the said Gillingham <lb xml:id="l18"/>impowering him to receive <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>what</expan></choice> Debts was owing to him <lb xml:id="l19"/>the said Holloway and then the said Holloway and his <lb xml:id="l20"/>wife took horse and went away with a Design to go into <lb xml:id="l21"/>Scotland as Holloway d<choice><orig><hi rend="overline">e</hi></orig><reg>ec</reg></choice>lared and the said Gillingham &amp; <lb xml:id="l22"/>this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> returned back from the Queens head at Bow <lb xml:id="l23"/>where they parted with Holloway and his wife to a <lb xml:id="l24"/>House in Coleman street where Gillingham called and <lb xml:id="l25"/>told the man of the house that his horses would not <lb xml:id="l26"/>be at home till two or three dayes were over and the <lb xml:id="l27"/>reason that Gillingham told the said person in Coleman <lb xml:id="l28"/>street <choice><abbr>abo<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>about</expan></choice> his horses not returning as aforesaid was <lb xml:id="l29"/>because (as Gillingham said) that he would not have <lb xml:id="l30"/>Holloway persued by the man for his horses for <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> Holloway <lb xml:id="l31"/>had but hired them for one say and was to return them <lb xml:id="l32"/>at night of the same day he had them and the said <choice><abbr>Gilling<hi rend="overline">h</hi></abbr><expan>Gillingham</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l33"/>and this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> went the same day to Newgate and <lb xml:id="l34"/>called of one M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Chaloner who was then a <choice><abbr>Prison<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Prisoner</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l35"/>there (as this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> hath been told for counterfeiting <lb xml:id="l36"/>the <choice><abbr>Curr<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Current</expan></choice> Coyn of this Kingdom and Chaloner did then <lb xml:id="l37"/>ask Gillingham if Holloway was gone away and <lb xml:id="l38"/>Gillingham <choice><abbr>reply<hi rend="superscript">d</hi>.</abbr><expan>replied</expan></choice> that he was and Chaloner then <lb xml:id="l39"/>seemed to be very joyfull and said a fart for <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> world</p>
