Elizabeth IJoneurs of the ꝑparish of Deptford in the County of Kent widdow Maketh oath That abotabout six yeares ago these Goods in the Inventory hereunto annexed were delivered into the custody of Mrs Roberts wife of Mr IJohn Roberts of Bloomsbury att the sign of the Crispin & Crispiana in order that yethe sdsaid Mrs Roberts should keep the same in trust and for the use of Edward Ivy who was at the time forced to leave his Habitacoation to avoid his being apprehended for Clipping of the Current Coyn of this Realm and that the said Goods were never delivered back to the said Edward Ivy or to any ꝑperson and this DepontDeponent further saith that abotabout 6 yeares ago she sent a woman to a Goldsmiths shop with Fifty five poundes in Order to get guineas for the same, and as the said woman (whose name as Taylor who then Lodged in Red Lyon square.) told this DepontDeponent that one InoJohn Gibbons came into the Goldsmith's shop and seized the sdsaid fifty five poundes pretending it was not Lawfull Money & hath not yet returned yethe sdsaid money to ysthis DepontDeponent though the sdsaid Gibbons has confessed ytthat he did seize yethe & take yethe same as aforesdsaid And ysthis DepontDeponent further saith that abot.about 6 yeares ago one WiddoWiddow Gardner who then kept the Cock an eating house in Bow Street covent Garden borrowed & recdreceived= from yethe samedaid Edwd Ivy the summ of 100£ and upwards, and never pdpaid back the same to the said Ivy.
