                    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par4">That whereas by a Constitution dated the 27<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> of April last Appointing <lb xml:id="l1"/>him Weigher and Teller to His Majestys Mint, Your Lordships were <lb xml:id="l2"/>pleased to Authorize him to Appoint a Deputy to be Approv'd of by <lb xml:id="l3"/>Your Lordships And as M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Rob<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>: Lowe hath been R<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" extent="1" unit="chars"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add>ccommended to Him <lb xml:id="l4"/>as a Person very well Qualified for that Office he humbly proposes Him <lb xml:id="l5"/>for the same, and begs Your Lordships Approbation.</p>
                    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par5">We upon the <choice><abbr>recom̄end<hi rend="overline">aco</hi>n</abbr><expan>recommendacion</expan></choice> of <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Phillips Esq<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Set forth in the <lb xml:id="l6"/>aforegoing Memorial do Approve of Robert Lowe to be his Deputy in <lb xml:id="l7"/>the Office of Weigher and Teller to his <choice><abbr>Ma:<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Mint And the Said <lb xml:id="l8"/>Robert Lowe being thus Approved is hereby Impowered to Act and <lb xml:id="l9"/>Execute the Said Office of Deputy Weigher and Teller to his <choice><abbr>Ma..<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l10"/>Mint under the said <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Phillipps accordingly Dated at the <lb xml:id="l11"/>Treasury Chambers the 2<hi rend="superscript">d</hi>: Iune 1726</p>

Appointing In<hi rend="superscript">o</hi>: Phillips Es<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. to be Weigher &amp; Teller of His Majestys Mint within the Tower of London.</note><hi rend="large">To all to whom</hi> these presents shall Come The Right Honourable <lb xml:id="l12"/>the Lords <choice><abbr>Comm.<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></abbr><expan>Commissioners</expan></choice> of His Majestys Treasury Send Greeting. <hi rend="large">Know ye</hi> That <lb xml:id="l13"/>We the said Lords <choice><abbr>Com:<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></abbr><expan>Commissioners</expan></choice> of his Majestys Treasury reposing especial Trust <lb xml:id="l14"/>and Confidence in the Fidelity Care and Diligence of <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Philips Esq<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. in <lb xml:id="l15"/>and for the Execution of the Office and place of Weigher and Teller of His <lb xml:id="l16"/>Majestys Mint within the Tower of London, in the Room of Henshaw <lb xml:id="l17"/>Eglesham Gent Deceas'd. <hi rend="large">Have</hi> Nominated Constituted and Appointed <lb xml:id="l18"/>and do by these presents Nominate Constitute and Appoint him the <lb xml:id="l19"/>said <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Phillips to be Weigher and Teller of His Majestys Mint within <lb xml:id="l20"/>the said Tower of London. To have hold exercise and enjoy the said Office <lb xml:id="l21"/>and place by Himself or his sufficient Deputy <del type="strikethrough">and</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">or</add> Deputys for &amp; during <lb xml:id="l22"/>his Majestys Pleasure (such Deputy or Deputys to be first Approved of by <lb xml:id="l23"/>Us or the High Treasurer or Commissioners of the Treasury for the time <lb xml:id="l24"/>being) together with all Fees Salaries Wages Houses Buildings <choice><abbr>Emolum:<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Emoluments</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l25"/>profits and Allowances thereunto belonging and in as large and ample <lb xml:id="l26"/>manner and form, to all Intents and purposes, as the said Henshaw Eglesham <lb xml:id="l27"/>or any other person or persons formerly enjoying the said Office, have held <lb xml:id="l28"/>and enjoyed the same. <hi rend="large">In Witnes</hi> whereof We have hereunto set Our <lb xml:id="l29"/>hands this 27:<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> day of April 1726. in the 12:<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> year of the Reign of Our <lb xml:id="l30"/>Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France <lb xml:id="l31"/>and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &amp;c.</p>

                    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par15"><anchor xml:id="n003-01"/><note place="marginLeft" target="#n003-01">In:<hi rend="superscript">o</hi> Rollos Assistant <lb xml:id="l52"/>to the Chief Graver <lb xml:id="l53"/>in the Mint.</note><hi rend="large">George</hi> by the Grace of God of Great Britain France &amp; Ireland King <lb xml:id="l54"/>Defender of the Faith &amp;c. <hi rend="large">To all to whom</hi> these presents shall Come more <lb xml:id="l55"/>especiall to Our Warden, Master and Worker and Comptroller of Our <lb xml:id="l56"/>Mint now and for the time being Greeting <hi rend="large">Whereas</hi> the Office of Assistant <lb xml:id="l57"/>to the Chief Graver of Our Mint hath been some time vacant by the <lb xml:id="l58"/>Decease of Samuel Bull, who was by Letters patent under Our Great <lb xml:id="l59"/>Seal of Great Britain appointed thereunto, in which Letters patent <lb xml:id="l60"/>a Clause was contained whereby it was provided that whenever the <lb xml:id="l61"/>said Assistant's place should be void it should be filled up by such <lb xml:id="l62"/>probationer or Apprentice as should be presented Unto us by Our <lb xml:id="l63"/>said Warden Master and Worker and Comptroller of Our Mint for the time <lb xml:id="l64"/>being by Warrant under Our Royal Sign Manual <hi rend="large">And Whereas</hi> you <lb xml:id="l65"/>the <choice><abbr>O<hi rend="overline">ffrs</hi></abbr><expan>Officers</expan></choice> of Our Mint have accordingly presented Unto Us <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Rollos <lb xml:id="l66"/>a skilful Artist in Engraving for that Imployment Which we being <lb xml:id="l67"/>Graciously pleased to Accept, And to Allow and Approve of the said <lb xml:id="l68"/><choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Rollos to be Assistant to the said Chief Graver of Our Mint according<lb xml:id="l69"/>ly <hi rend="large">Our Will</hi> and Pleasure is And We do hereby Direct Authorize &amp; <lb xml:id="l70"/>Require You and every of you to whom it appertains to Admit the <lb xml:id="l71"/>said <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Rollos to have hold and enjoy all Houses or Apartments <lb xml:id="l72"/>profits Immunities, Liberties privileges and Advantages to the said <lb xml:id="l73"/>Office belonging, and quietly and peaceably to enjoy the same and <lb xml:id="l74"/>every of them during Our Royal Will and Pleasure <hi rend="large">And</hi> moreover <lb xml:id="l75"/>We are Graciously pleased to Grant and allow unto the said <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn <lb xml:id="l76"/>Rollos for the Exercise and Execution of the said Office the Yearly <lb xml:id="l77"/>Fe<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" extent="1" unit="chars"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add> or Salary of Eighty pounds <foreign xml:lang="lat"><choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> Ann̄</foreign> to be paid and payable to <lb xml:id="l78"/>him by the Master and worker of Our Mint now and for the time <lb xml:id="l79"/>being, out of such Money as shall from time to time be and remain <lb xml:id="l80"/>in his hands for that purpose, which Said Salary Our Pleasure is <lb xml:id="l81"/>shall Commence and be Accompted payable from, <choice><abbr>Mi<hi rend="overline">cha</hi>s</abbr><expan>Michaelmas</expan></choice> last <lb xml:id="l82"/>past One Thousand seven Hundred and twenty six Quarterly at the <lb xml:id="l83"/>four most usual Feasts or Days of Payment in the year by even and <lb xml:id="l84"/>equal <choice><abbr>porc<hi rend="overline">o</hi>ns</abbr><expan>porcions</expan></choice>, during Our Pleasure And such payments shall from <lb xml:id="l85"/>time to time be passed and allowed in the <choice><abbr>Acc<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>:</abbr><expan>Accounts</expan></choice> of the said Master and <lb xml:id="l86"/>Worker of Our Mint: And these presents or the Entry or Inrollment <lb xml:id="l87"/>thereof shall be to All and every one that Shall or may be any ways <lb xml:id="l88"/>concerned therein a Sufficient Warrant Given at Our Court at <lb xml:id="l89"/>Kensington this twenty ninth day of September 1726 in the thirteenth <lb xml:id="l90"/>year of Our Reign</p>

<lb xml:id="l107"/>equal <choice><abbr>porc<hi rend="overline">ons</hi></abbr><expan>porcions</expan></choice> Out of Such Moneys as by any Act or Acts of Parliament <lb xml:id="l108"/>already made for Encouraging of Coynage Allowed to be Issued yearly <lb xml:id="l109"/>out of Our <choice><abbr>Excheq<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</abbr><expan>Exchequer</expan></choice> for the Fees and Salarys of the Officers of the Mint or <lb xml:id="l110"/>Mints and towards the providing maintaining and repairing the Houses <lb xml:id="l111"/>Offices and Buildings and other uses in the said Act or Acts. or any of <lb xml:id="l112"/>them <choice><abbr>men<hi rend="overline">con</hi>d</abbr><expan>mencioned</expan></choice> for so long time as the same shall continue in force <lb xml:id="l113"/>And after the said Act or Acts shall cease out of such other money and <lb xml:id="l114"/>in such other manner as shall by any Act or Acts of <choice><abbr>Parliam<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Parliament</expan></choice> hereafter <lb xml:id="l115"/>to be made be appointed or allowed to be Issued out for the Fees or Salarys <lb xml:id="l116"/>of the Officers of the Mint or Mints And in default of any such Allowance <lb xml:id="l117"/>or Appointment to be hereafter made by <choice><abbr>Parliam<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Parliament</expan></choice> then the said Fee <lb xml:id="l118"/>of Five Hundred pounds <foreign xml:lang="lat"><choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> Ann̄</foreign> to be paid out of Our Seignorage or <lb xml:id="l119"/>Allowance of Coinage for Gold and Silver Moneys or other Our Profits of <lb xml:id="l120"/>the Mint <hi rend="large">And Know Yee</hi> also that We for the <choice><abbr>Conside<hi rend="overline">rac</hi>ons</abbr><expan>Consideracions</expan></choice> aforesaid <lb xml:id="l121"/>Have Given and Granted and by these presents do Give and Grant unto <lb xml:id="l122"/>the said <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Conduitt all Edifices Buildings Gardens and other Fees <lb xml:id="l123"/>Allowances profits priviledges Franchises and Immunities belonging <lb xml:id="l124"/>to the aforesaid Office To have hold exercise and enjoy the Said Office of <lb xml:id="l125"/>Master and Worker to him the said <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Conduitt by himself or his <lb xml:id="l126"/>Sufficient Deputy or Deputys for whom he will be Answerable <pb xml:id="p006" n="6"/> together with the said Fee or Yearly Pension of five Hundred pounds and <lb xml:id="l127"/>the said Houses Edifices Buildings Gardens and other Fees Allowances profits <lb xml:id="l128"/>Advantages proviledges Franchises Liberties and Immunities for and during <lb xml:id="l129"/>Our Pleasure in as full and ample manner as by Isaac Newton Kn<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. <choice><abbr>dec<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>deceased</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l130"/>or any other person or persons heretofore holding or exercising the said <lb xml:id="l131"/>Office have had held or enjoyed or ought to have had held or enjoyed <lb xml:id="l132"/>the same provided always and under this <choice><abbr>Condi<hi rend="overline">co</hi>n</abbr><expan>Condicion</expan></choice> And Our Will &amp;
