<p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2"><hi rend="dropCap">T</hi>HE Letter you thought fit to write by way of Animadversi<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l1"/>on upon Mr. <hi rend="italic">Newton</hi>'s new Theory of Light and Colors, grounded upon an Experiment of letting the Sun-beams through a little hole into a dark chamber, seems to need no other Answer but this, That you would be pleased to look upon and consider the Scheme in Mr. <hi rend="italic">Newton</hi>'s 2<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> Answer to <hi rend="italic">P. Pardies</hi> in <hi rend="italic">Numb</hi>. 85. of the <hi rend="italic">Ph. Transactions</hi>; and rest assured, that the Experiment, as it is repre<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l2"/>sented, was tryed in clear days, and the Prism placed close to the hole in the window, so that the Light had no room to diverge, and the colour'd Image made not parallel (as in that conjecture) but trans<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l3"/>verse to the axis of the Prism.</p>
