                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2"><choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice>.</p>
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3">Two dayes since I sent you an answere to M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Leibnitius excellent letter <lb xml:id="l1"/>after it was gone running my eyes over a transcript that I had made <lb xml:id="l2"/>to be taken of it I found some things <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> I could wish altered <lb xml:id="l3"/>and <del type="cancelled">I</del> since I cannot now do it my self I desire you would doe it for <lb xml:id="l4"/>me (those things are amended in this transcript.)</p>
                <p xml:id="par4">I feare I have been something too severe in taking notice of <lb xml:id="l5"/>some oversights in M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Leibnitius letter considering the goodness and <lb xml:id="l6"/>ingenuity of the Author and that it might have beene my owne fate <lb xml:id="l7"/>in writing hastily to have committed the like oversights, but <add indicator="no" place="inline">y</add>et they <lb xml:id="l8"/>being I think real oversights I suppose he cannot be offended at it <lb xml:id="l9"/>if you think any thing be expressed too severely pray give me notice of <lb xml:id="l10"/>it and I will endeavour to mollify it unless you will doe <del type="cancelled">for</del> with a <lb xml:id="l11"/>word or two of your owne I beleive M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Leibnitius will not dislike th<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add indicator="no" place="over">e</add> <lb xml:id="l12"/>Theoreme towards the beginning of my letter (pag 5) for squaring curve <lb xml:id="l13"/>lines Geometrically Sometime when I have more leisure <choice><sic>iti</sic><corr>it is</corr></choice> possible I <lb xml:id="l14"/>may send him a fuller account of it explaining how it is to be ordered <lb xml:id="l15"/>for comparing curvilinear <del type="cancelled">lines</del> figures with one another and how the <lb xml:id="l16"/>simplest figure is to be found with which a compounded curve may <lb xml:id="l17"/>be compared Some other things in M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.
