<p xml:id="par5">I have sent you my Answers to M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Hook <lb xml:id="l1"/>&amp; P. Pardies, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> I hope will bring with <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">m</hi></abbr><expan>them</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l2"/>satisfaction <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> I promised. And as there is nothing <lb xml:id="l3"/>in Mr Hooks Considerations <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> I am not well <lb xml:id="l4"/>contented, so I presume there is as little in mine <lb xml:id="l5"/><choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> he can excep against, since you will easily <lb xml:id="l6"/>see that I have industriously avoyded <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> intermixing <lb xml:id="l7"/>of oblique &amp; glancing expressions i<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">n</add> my discourse. <lb xml:id="l8"/>So <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> I hope it will be needlesse to trouble the <lb xml:id="l9"/><del type="cancelled">Heads of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice></del> R. Society to adjust matters. However <lb xml:id="l10"/>if there should <del type="cancelled">be any</del> possibly be any thing esteem<lb xml:id="l11"/>ed of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> kind, I desire it may be interpreted <lb xml:id="l12"/>candidly &amp; with respect to <del type="over">M</del><add place="over" indicator="no">th</add>e contents of <lb xml:id="l13"/>M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Hooks Considerations, &amp; I shall readily give <lb xml:id="l14"/>way to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> mitigation of whatsoever <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Heads of <lb xml:id="l15"/><choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> R. Society shall esteem personall. And concerning <lb xml:id="l16"/>my former Answer to P. Pardies, I resigne to you <lb xml:id="l17"/><choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> same liberty <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> he hath done for his <lb xml:id="l18"/>Objections, of mollifying any expressions that may <lb xml:id="l19"/>have a shew of harshnesse.</p>
