<p rend="indent0" xml:id="par12"><choice><abbr>Answ.</abbr><expan>Answered</expan></choice> by D<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Sidnam May 15. 76. and sent by him his <lb xml:id="l16"/>Hypothesis <del type="strikethrough">and discourse</del> explaining <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> properties <lb xml:id="l17"/>of Light; as also his discourse about <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> various <lb xml:id="l18"/>colors exhibited by transparent substances made very <lb xml:id="l19"/>thin by being blown into bubbles or otherwise form<choice><orig>'d</orig><reg>ed</reg></choice> into <lb xml:id="l20"/>plates, altho at a greater thicknes they appear very <lb xml:id="l21"/><del type="strikethrough">clar</del> clear and colorlesse.</p>
<p xml:id="par13">In my letter accompanying these papers I imparted <lb xml:id="l22"/>to M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Newton <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> particulars contain<choice><orig>'d</orig><reg>ed</reg></choice> in M. Leibnitz <lb xml:id="l23"/>his letter to me of May 12. 1676. from Paris st.n.</p>
