<p xml:id="par2"><foreign xml:lang="fre">Le Probleme n'est pas mon affaire <lb xml:id="l11"/>c'est le celebre M. Bernoulli, qui en a <lb xml:id="l12"/>donné une veritable solution generale <lb xml:id="l13"/>dans toute son étendue. Mais de le <lb xml:id="l14"/>resoudre dans les Coniques ou dans plusieurs <lb xml:id="l15"/>autres cas faciles ce n'est pas ce qu'on <lb xml:id="l16"/>demande. Le files de M. Bernoulli, <pb xml:id="p368v" facs="#i760" n="368v"/> garçon fort jeune, en a bien donné <del type="cancelled">d<gap reason="illgblDel" extent="1" unit="chars"/> <lb xml:id="l17"/><gap reason="del" extent="22" unit="chars"/></del> une solution <lb xml:id="l18"/>fort jolie dans un tel cas. Et c'est apparemment <lb xml:id="l19"/>quel<choice><orig></orig><reg>que</reg></choice> chose de semblable qu'auront fait <lb xml:id="l20"/><del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" extent="1" unit="chars"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">t</add>out au plus ceux qu'on dit y avoir neussi. <lb xml:id="l21"/>Mais on connoitra par la solution <lb xml:id="l22"/>generale que celuy qui la donnera <lb xml:id="l23"/>possede asses le Calcul en question</foreign></p>
