                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3">I <choice><abbr>herew<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>herewith</expan></choice> send you M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Boyle's new Book <lb xml:id="l1"/>of Effluviums, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> he desired me to present to you <lb xml:id="l2"/>in his name, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> his very affectionat service, <lb xml:id="l3"/>and assurance of <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> esteem he hath of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> vertue <lb xml:id="l4"/>and knowledge. I take <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> liberty to Ioyne <lb xml:id="l5"/>in thesame pacquet two Copies more of <choice><abbr>yesame</abbr><expan>thesame</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l6"/>Book, one for D<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Barrow, and <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> other for <lb xml:id="l7"/>D<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> More; <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> he intreats you to send to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">m</hi></abbr><expan>them</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l8"/>from him, if they be now at Cambridge; if not, <lb xml:id="l9"/>to keep <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">m</hi></abbr><expan>them</expan></choice> in <choice><abbr>yr</abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> hands, till they shall returne <lb xml:id="l10"/>thither.</p>
                <p xml:id="par4">I receiued lately a letter from <choice><abbr>Mons<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Monsieur</expan></choice> Hevelius, <lb xml:id="l11"/>and in it the Frontispice and Title of the First <lb xml:id="l12"/>part of his <foreign xml:lang="lat">Machina Cœlestis</foreign>, together <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> an Advaice, <lb xml:id="l13"/>that he hat deliver'd severall Copies of this Book <lb xml:id="l14"/>to a Master of a Ship bound for London; among <lb xml:id="l15"/><choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> there is one designed for the University <lb xml:id="l16"/>of Cambridge: <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> when it shall <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">come</add> to my hands, <lb xml:id="l17"/>I shall not faile, God willing, to transmit <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">it</add> to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l18"/>Vice Chancellour, whose name, in the Interim, <pb xml:id="p034v" n="34v" facs="#i70"/> I desire to know. The Title of the book is,</p>

                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par6">I haue lately procured a<add place="inline" indicator="no">n</add> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Astronomical</add> Correspondence between <choice><abbr>Sign<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Signor</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l30"/>Cassini and our Mr Flamsteed, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> I belieue will <lb xml:id="l31"/>contribute not a litle to <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Advancement of Astronomy <lb xml:id="l32"/>especially if <choice><abbr>ye</abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> latter, whom <choice><abbr>Sign<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Signor</expan></choice> Cassini acknow<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l33"/>ledges to be <del type="strikethrough">an</del> a very accurat Observer, can fur<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l34"/>nish himself <choice><abbr>wth</abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> good Instruments.</p>
                <p xml:id="par7">The two new Planets about Saturn, lately discove<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l35"/>red by Cassini, are now to be very well seen, as I am <lb xml:id="l36"/>informed from Paris, where <choice><abbr>Sign<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Signor</expan></choice> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Cassini</add> saith they see you <lb xml:id="l37"/><choice><abbr>wth</abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> a Telescope of 21. parisian feet.</p>
                <p xml:id="par8">I shall be glad to hear, <choice><abbr>yt</abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> this pacquet is safe come to <choice><abbr>yr</abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l38"/>hands.
