<p xml:id="par1">On the 28th past the Corpse of Sir Isaac <lb xml:id="l1"/>Newton lay in State in the Jersualem Cham<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l2"/>ber, and was buried from thence in Westmin<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l3"/>ster-Abbey near the Entry into the Choir. <lb xml:id="l4"/>The Pall was supported by the Lord High <lb xml:id="l5"/>Chancellour, the Dukes of Montrose and <lb xml:id="l6"/>Roxburgh, and the Earls of Pembroke, Sus<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l7"/>sex and Macclesfield, being Fellows of the <lb xml:id="l8"/>Royal Society. The Honourable Sir Michael <lb xml:id="l9"/>Newton, Knight of the Bath, was Chief <lb xml:id="l10"/>Mourner, and was followed by some other Re<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l11"/>lations, and several eminent Persons intimately <lb xml:id="l12"/>acquainted with the Deceased. The Office <lb xml:id="l13"/>was performed by the Bishop of Rochester at<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l14"/>tended by the Prebends and Choir.</p>
<p rend="indent5" xml:id="par2">His Majesty has been graciously pleased to <lb xml:id="l15"/>grant the Employment of Master and Worker <lb xml:id="l16"/>of the Mint, which he enjoyed above 27 years, <lb xml:id="l17"/>to his Nephew John Conduitt, <choice><abbr>Esq;</abbr><expan>Esquire</expan></choice>.</p>
