<p rend="indent0" xml:id="par7">It is said to be a custom for all the Princes <lb xml:id="l95"/>of the House of Austria to make themselves <lb xml:id="l96"/>Masters of some <app type="authorial"><rdg place="inline">manual trade</rdg> <rdg place="supralinear">handicraft</rdg></app>, &amp; it is <lb xml:id="l97"/>well known the Great Czar in a <lb xml:id="l98"/>manner abdicated an Empire for <lb xml:id="l99"/>some years to learn mechanicks, but <lb xml:id="l100"/>without discussing wether it be as <lb xml:id="l101"/>necessary for Kings to have Philo<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l102"/>sophical hands as Plato thought <lb xml:id="l103"/>it was to haue Philosophical <lb xml:id="l104"/>minds it must be owned <del type="strikethrough">to have <lb xml:id="l105"/>been a true</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no"> <app type="authorial"><rdg place="inline">the person I am now treating of</rdg> <rdg place="supralinear"><choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice> Isaac Newton</rdg></app> made good that</add> saying of a late Excellent <lb xml:id="l106"/>Author – That Philosophy would then attain <lb xml:id="l107"/>to perfection when either mechanick <lb xml:id="l108"/>labourers should have Philosophical heads <lb xml:id="l109"/>or Philosophers mechanical hands. <lb xml:id="l110"/>As the soul is influenced in the exercise <lb xml:id="l111"/>of it's faculties by the disposition of the <lb xml:id="l112"/>body, the Philosophical productions of the <lb xml:id="l113"/>mind are advanced &amp; improved by an expert <lb xml:id="l114"/>&amp; ready cooperation of the corporeal organs. <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l115"/>I.
