<p xml:id="par1">5. The worship <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> is due from us to God Almighty as our God is incommunicable. To give that worship or any part of it to any other is to have another God <del type="strikethrough">&amp; by consequence to break</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">contrary to</add> the first <choice><abbr>commandm<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>commandment</expan></choice>. And what that worship is may be learnt from <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> worship which the Iews gave <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">him</add> in their Temple by the law of Moses. <del type="strikethrough">For</del> And if the ceremonial part of the Law <del type="strikethrough">be set</del> (from <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> we are <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">now</add> freed) be set aside; it consisted chiefly in these two things: in giving <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">him</add> honour &amp; glory &amp; <del type="strikethrough">thanks</del> praise &amp; thanks for creating all things &amp; <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">for</add> giving us our daily bread &amp; <del type="strikethrough">for all his blessings</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">what ever blessings we receive;</add> &amp; in supplicating him for what ever we want. By <del type="strikethrough">the first sort of worship</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">such worship</add> we acknowledge his <del type="strikethrough">power &amp;</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">infinite</add> goodness &amp; power &amp; wisdom, <del type="strikethrough">by the second</del> &amp; that he is always every where invisibly, a property peculiar to himself. The four Animals in the Temple in this prophesy worship him <del type="strikethrough">day &amp; night</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">morning &amp; evening</add> saying Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> was &amp; is &amp; is to come; &amp; the 24 Elders at the same time fall down before him &amp; worship him that liveth for ever &amp; ever &amp; cast their crowns before the throne saying, Thou art worthy O Lord to receive glory &amp; honour &amp; power: for thou hast created all things, &amp; for thy pleasure they are &amp; were created. This is his daily worship <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> we are directed by this prophesy to give him in <del type="strikethrough">his Temples <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> publick worship</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">our Churches</add> represented here <del type="strikethrough">by his</del> by his Temple. And another part of his publick worship is singing praises to him as God Almighty. For the <del type="strikethrough">144000</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Lamb</add> stood on Mount Sion with the 144000 &amp; they sung a new song <del type="strikethrough">with</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> harps</add> before the throne &amp; the Victors standing on <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> sea of glass sung the song of Moses &amp; the Lamb saying Great &amp; marvellous are thy works Lord God Almighty &amp;c. And another part <del type="strikethrough">praying to him</del> of his <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">publick</add> worship is praying to him <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">as God</add> represented in this prophesy by the Angels offering up</p>
