Folio 2 (the rest of paragraph 7, paragraph 8 and part of paragraph 9) had been acquired by the Karpeles Museums by July 2007 and is now in their museum in Santa Barbara, California.</p>

<p xml:id="par1">5 Christ received this prophesy <del type="cancelled">o</del>fr<choice><orig>ō</orig><reg>om</reg></choice> God, &amp; <del type="cancelled">he alone of</del> none in <lb xml:id="l1"/>heaven nor in earth neither under the earth was able <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">or worthy</add> to open <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; read</add> the <add place="lineEnd" indicator="no">prophetic</add> <lb xml:id="l2"/>book neither to look thereon, <del type="strikethrough">excep</del> <add place="inline" indicator="no">till</add> Christ appeared &amp; took it out of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l3"/>hand of God, &amp; therefore he is <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">certainly</add> risen from the dead, <del type="cancelled">Ffor this</del> &amp; become the <lb xml:id="l4"/>first fruits &amp; them that sleep: for he merited this worthiness by his <lb xml:id="l5"/><del type="cancelled"><space dim="horizontal" unit="chars" extent="3"/></del><del type="strikethrough">death. Worthy is the lamb that was slain</del> death. <hi rend="underline">Thou art worthy <lb xml:id="l6"/>to take the book &amp; to open the seals thereof for thou wast slain &amp; hast <lb xml:id="l7"/>redeemed us to God by thy blood <del type="cancelled">&amp;c Apoc. 5.9</del> out of every kindred &amp; tongue <lb xml:id="l8"/>&amp; people &amp; nation &amp; hast made us unto <choice><abbr>o<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>our</expan></choice> God kings &amp; priests &amp; we shall <lb xml:id="l9"/>reign on the earth</hi>.</p>
<p xml:id="par2">6 By his death therefore he has merited a kingdom <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi>out</abbr><expan>without</expan></choice> <del type="strikethrough">such</del> <lb xml:id="l10"/>his merit would not have been erected, &amp; therefor the salvation of as many as <lb xml:id="l11"/>shall be chosen by him to inherit this kingdom is due to his merit. We are <lb xml:id="l12"/>commanded to forgive our enemies <del type="cancelled">&amp; what is</del> freely, &amp; what <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">God</add> requires <lb xml:id="l13"/>of us cannot be injustice in himself. Gods justice consists in punishing <lb xml:id="l14"/>no<add place="inline" indicator="no">ne</add><del type="strikethrough">body</del> beyond their merit <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">his mercy in pardoning freely. He may forgive</add>; <del type="strikethrough"><gap reason="blotDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/> he may forgive</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="medium">freel freely</unclear></del> freely</add> without injustice: for other<lb xml:id="l15"/>wise he <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">would</add> not command us to forgive. <del type="strikethrough">our en</del> A king is not injust for pardon<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l16"/>ing a malefactor <del type="cancelled">if</del> whenever he may do it without injuring other people <lb xml:id="l17"/><del type="cancelled">&amp;</del> In such a case satisfaction is not requisite in order to mercy. If we have <lb xml:id="l18"/>all offended &amp; done nothing to merit the erecting of a new kingdom <lb xml:id="l19"/>God might have justly left <del type="cancelled">us</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">all men</add> among those who shall not inherit it &amp; <lb xml:id="l20"/>they that <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">shall</add> inherit this kingdom must ascribe it to Gods mercy through the <lb xml:id="l21"/>merit &amp; intercession of Iesus Christ. There is a satisfaction: but it <lb xml:id="l22"/>consis<gap reason="blotDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/>ts rather in <del type="strikethrough">procuring Gods merc</del> appeasing God's wrath &amp; procuring his mercy, then in enabling him to forgive out of justice</p>
<p xml:id="par3">7 The publick worship of Christians in their Churches is described <lb xml:id="l23"/>in this prophesy by the worship of God &amp; Christ in the Temple of heaven <lb xml:id="l24"/><del type="cancelled">First</del> The four Animals representing the people in the outward Court <lb xml:id="l25"/><hi rend="underline">rest not morning &amp; evening saying Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> was <lb xml:id="l26"/>&amp; is to come. And when those <del type="strikethrough">Beasts</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">Animals</add> give glory &amp; honour &amp; thanks to him <lb xml:id="l27"/>that sitteth upon the throne who liveth for ever &amp; ever, the four &amp; twenty <lb xml:id="l28"/>elders fall down before him that sitteth on the throne &amp; worship him that <lb xml:id="l29"/>liveth for ever &amp; ever &amp; cast their crowns before the throne saying: Thou <lb xml:id="l30"/>art worthy o Lord to receive glory &amp; honour &amp; power for thou hast cre<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l31"/>ated all things &amp; for thy pleasure they are &amp; were created.</hi> This is the <add place="lineEnd" indicator="no">proper</add> <lb xml:id="l32"/>worship of God Almighty: next follows the <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">proper</add> worship of Iesus Christ. <hi rend="underline">When <lb xml:id="l33"/>he had taken the book of prophesy out of the hand of <del type="strikethrough">Iesus Christ</del> him <lb xml:id="l34"/>that sat upon the throne, the four Animals &amp; 24 Elders fell down before <lb xml:id="l35"/>the Lamb <del type="cancelled">saying</del> having every one of them harps &amp; gold vials full of <lb xml:id="l36"/>odors <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> are the prayers of the saints [<add place="supralinear" indicator="no">to be</add> offe</hi>red up to God by the <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">mediation of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice></add> Lamb] <lb xml:id="l37"/><hi rend="underline">&amp; they sung a new song saying thou art worthy to take the book <lb xml:id="l38"/>&amp; to open the seals thereof for thou wast slain &amp; hast redeemed u<del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="high">t</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">s</add> <lb xml:id="l39"/>to God by thy blood out of every <del type="strikethrough">kingdom</del> kindred &amp; tongue &amp; people <lb xml:id="l40"/>&amp; nation &amp; hast made us unto <choice><abbr>o<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>our</expan></choice> God kings &amp; priests &amp; <del type="cancelled">I</del> we shall reign <lb xml:id="l41"/>on the earth. And I heard <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> voice of many Angels round about the <lb xml:id="l42"/>throne &amp; the <del type="strikethrough">beasts</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">Animals</add> &amp; the elders – saying with a loud voice, Worthy <lb xml:id="l43"/>is the Lamb that was slain to receive power &amp; wisdome &amp; strength &amp; <lb xml:id="l44"/>honour &amp; glory &amp; bles</hi>sing. <del type="cancelled">Next <unclear reason="del" cert="medium">t</unclear></del> In the <del type="strikethrough">last</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">next</add> place follows the <lb xml:id="l45"/>joynt worship of God &amp; the Lamb <del type="cancelled">saying</del> <hi rend="underline">And every creature <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> is in <lb xml:id="l46"/>heaven &amp; on <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> earth &amp; under the earth &amp; such as are in the sea &amp; <lb xml:id="l47"/>all in them heard I, saying, Blessing &amp; honour &amp; glory &amp; power be <lb xml:id="l48"/>unto him that sitteth upon the throne &amp; unto the Lamb for ever &amp; <fw type="catch" place="bottomRight">ever</fw></hi><pb xml:id="p002r" n="2r"/>
<hi rend="underline">ever. And the four Animals said, Amen</hi>. And <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in the last place</add> <hi rend="underline">the four &amp; twenty elders fall down <lb xml:id="l49"/><del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">&amp;</add> worship him that liveth for ever &amp; ever</hi>. And to explain what is meant by <lb xml:id="l50"/>the odours <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> are the prayers of the saints, an <add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><del type="cancelled">the H</del></add> Angel appears in the great Fast <lb xml:id="l51"/><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> a golden censer to perform the office of the High Priest</add> &amp; in the time of silence <del type="cancelled">&amp;</del> <hi rend="underline">offers incense <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> the prayers of all saints upon the <lb xml:id="l52"/>golden Altar <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> was before the throne. And the smoke of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> incense <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l53"/>prayers of the saints ascended up before God out of the Angels hand</hi>. Which <lb xml:id="l54"/>Angel <del type="strikethrough">by the circumstances is the High Priest &amp;</del> represents Christ the <del type="strikethrough">medi<lb xml:id="l55"/>ator of <choice><abbr>o<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>our</expan></choice> prayers</del> great High Priest the Mediator of <choice><abbr>o<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>our</expan></choice> prayers. And there is <lb xml:id="l56"/><del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="3"/> I T</del> a further worship afterwards given to God Almighty <lb xml:id="l57"/>in this same Temple by the 144000 standing with the Lamb on mount <lb xml:id="l58"/>Sion <del type="cancelled">&amp; sin</del> before the throne &amp; singing a new <choice><sic>son</sic><corr>song</corr></choice>, &amp; on the sea of glass &amp; <lb xml:id="l59"/>singing the same song of Moses &amp; the Lamb saying <hi rend="underline">Great &amp; marvellous are <lb xml:id="l60"/>thy works Lord God Almighty</hi> &amp;c. All which <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">together</add> is a mystical description of <lb xml:id="l61"/>the whole worship of Christians.</p>
<p xml:id="par4">8 <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">All</add> The worship here given to Christ <choice><sic>resprects</sic><corr>respects</corr></choice> his humane nature. For <lb xml:id="l62"/>it is given to him in the form of a Lamb who was slain for us, &amp; who re<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l63"/>ceived this prophesy from God &amp; by his death became worthy to receive <lb xml:id="l64"/>it. He is here worshipped not as a God but as a King, the man Christ Iesus <add place="lineEnd" indicator="no">our Lord,</add> not as God Almighty but as King of Kings <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; Lord of Lords</add> who has redeemed his elect <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l65"/>his blood &amp; made them kings &amp; priests under him. And therefore this wor<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l66"/>ship is given him without any breach of the first commandment. Because <add place="lineEnd" indicator="no"> when he was <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in power he did not arrogate the being worshipped but</add></add> <lb xml:id="l67"/>he <add place="supralinear lineEnd" indicator="yes"><del type="strikethrough">laid aside his</del> emptied himself of his dominion &amp; took upon the form of a servant &amp; being found in fashion as a man he <choice><sic>hum</sic><corr type="noText"/></choice></add> humbled himself <del type="strikethrough">to death</del> &amp; became obedient <add place="inline" indicator="no">un</add>to death even the death of <lb xml:id="l68"/>the cross therefore <hi rend="underline">God hath <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">highly</add> exalted him &amp; given him a name <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> is above <lb xml:id="l69"/>every name that at the name of Iesus every knee should bow of things in <lb xml:id="l70"/>heaven &amp; things in earth &amp; things under the earth &amp; that every tongue should <lb xml:id="l71"/>confess that Iesus Christ is <del type="cancelled">the</del> Lord to the glory of God the father</hi>. We are <lb xml:id="l72"/>bound to give all kings such honour &amp; worship as is suitable to their <del type="strikethrough">dominion</del> <lb xml:id="l73"/>dignity &amp; dominion over us, much more to Christ Iesus the king of kings the <lb xml:id="l74"/>Lord of the whole creation. To <del type="strikethrough">give him</del> honour &amp; worship <del type="strikethrough">suitable to his <lb xml:id="l75"/>dominion</del> the man Christ Iesus as <choice><abbr>o<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>our</expan></choice> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Lord &amp;</add> king <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> such a worship as is suitable to <lb xml:id="l76"/>his dominion is so far from being against the first commandment that it <lb xml:id="l77"/>redounds to the glory of God the father who has made him king &amp; <del type="strikethrough">granted</del> <lb xml:id="l78"/>given him this name above every name. This worship is due <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">from the whole creation</add> to the Lamb of <lb xml:id="l79"/>God, the Man Christ Iesus who <del type="cancelled">hath</del> was slain <del type="cancelled">f</del> &amp; hath redeemed us with <lb xml:id="l80"/>his blood, &amp; to deny <del type="cancelled">him</del> this worship <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">to him as a king</add> is to rebell against the King of <lb xml:id="l81"/>Kings &amp; to deny the Lord that bought us.</p>
<p xml:id="par5">9 The Worship given to God &amp; Christ in this prophesy is their peculiar <lb xml:id="l82"/>proper incommunicable worship. To give glory &amp; honour <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; thanks</add> to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Lamb <del type="strikethrough">that</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">because he</add> was <lb xml:id="l83"/>slain for<gap reason="blot" unit="chars" extent="1"/> us &amp; hath redeemed us with his blood is a worship which cannot be given <lb xml:id="l84"/>to God Almighty <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> creator of heaven &amp; earth nor to any other but the lamb. To <lb xml:id="l85"/>give glory &amp; honour <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; thanks</add> to him that sitteth upon the throne because he hath created <lb xml:id="l86"/>all things, is a worship <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> cannot be given to the Lamb nor to any other but <lb xml:id="l87"/>God Almighty the creator of heaven &amp; earth. And to give it to any other would <lb xml:id="l88"/>be a breach of the first commandment <del type="strikethrough">&amp; a denyal of the God above who <lb xml:id="l89"/>created all things, <del type="cancelled">&amp; having</del> &amp; having</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><choice><sic>an</sic><corr>and</corr></choice> having another God besides the God of the Iews the</add> creator of all things, &amp; <del type="cancelled">thereby</del> a denyal <lb xml:id="l90"/>of <del type="cancelled">that that God the al</del> that God. For as Iob tells us <hi rend="underline">If I beheld the Sun <lb xml:id="l91"/>when it shined or the Moon walking in brightness, &amp; my heart hath been <lb xml:id="l92"/>secretly enticed or my <del type="strikethrough">hand</del> mouth hath kissed my hand; this also were an <lb xml:id="l93"/>iniquity to be punished by the judge; for I should have denyed the God <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> is <lb xml:id="l94"/>above</hi>: so if we give to any other being that worship or any part thereof <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l95"/>by the first commandment is <del type="cancelled">due</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">appropriated</add> to God Almighty <del type="cancelled">the</del> the creator of heaven <lb xml:id="l96"/>&amp; earth; <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">by that act <del type="cancelled">by that act</del></add> we have <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="4"/></del> another God or other Gods contrary to <del type="strikethrough">that</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">that</add> commandment, &amp; <lb xml:id="l97"/>deny the God <del type="strikethrough"><choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> is above</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">above the God of the Iews</add> the Almighty creator of heaven &amp; earth. <del type="blockStrikethrough">[And for this <fw type="catch" place="bottomRight"><del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del> reason 10</fw></del></p>
