<p>SL245, described in the Sotheby catalogue as <hi rend="italic">c.</hi> 300,000 words on 975 pp., was bought at the Sotheby sale by Gabriel Wells for £48 and sold to Yahuda on 1 Aug. 1936 for the sale price plus 15%. On 24 May 1949, Yahuda wrote to the London dealer Heinrich Eisemann, 'As to lot 245 the new arrangement and replacement of the pages resulted in 1,530 pages instead of 975 pages as many pages had to be taken out from other lots. But for this manuscript I have a customer who wants to pay a much higher price than $3,800 suggested by you.' If this was true, the prospective buyer's desire to part with his or her cash presumably waned. There must subsequently have been further reordering of the manuscript as the present Yahuda Ms. 7 amounts to nowhere near 1,530 pp.</p>

The first Temple is destroyed &amp; not destroyed in several <lb xml:id="l111"/>respects: in respect of the eastern empire it is continued without <lb xml:id="l112"/>interruption tho not without a change in its worshippers; in respect <lb xml:id="l113"/>of the western it ceases <add indicator="yes" place="supralinear">leaves the Empire a <del type="strikethrough">wilderness</del> spiritually barren wilderness,</add> &amp; a second Temple is built in its room. <lb xml:id="l114"/>All that worshipped God in the first Temple desert his worship <lb xml:id="l115"/>there except the 144000, &amp; the two Churches being carried cap<lb xml:id="l116"/>tive from thence to Babylon, return from <del type="cancelled">thence</del> captivity, build a <lb xml:id="l117"/>second Temple &amp; become the two Candlesticks therein.</del></p>
<p xml:id="par6">The two Temples are sufficiently distinguished from one another by <lb xml:id="l118"/>the different number of their candlesticks &amp; different characters of their <lb xml:id="l119"/>worshippers: but the worship is alike in them both. For the Beast &amp; <lb xml:id="l120"/>his Image are worshipped &amp; his mark received by all the world, the fals <lb xml:id="l121"/>Prophet &amp; Dragon setting up that worship in the outward court of the <lb xml:id="l122"/>first Temple: &amp; therefore the worship in the outward courts of both <lb xml:id="l123"/>Temples is alike. And the worship in the inner courts of both Temples <lb xml:id="l124"/>is also alike, the worshippers being of one &amp; the same religion &amp; members <lb xml:id="l125"/>of one &amp; the same mystical body of Christ. As those in the second <lb xml:id="l126"/>Temple are called Witnesses &amp; Prophets so those in the first Temple are <lb xml:id="l127"/>also Witnesses &amp; Prophets. For they have the testimony of Iesus (Apoc. 12. <lb xml:id="l128"/>17) &amp; are mystically killed for not worshipping the Image of the Beast <lb xml:id="l129"/>(ch. 13. 15) &amp; in respect of the great harvest of martyrs (ch. 14. 15) <lb xml:id="l130"/>are called the first fruits unto God (v. 4) &amp; therefore they are martyrs <lb xml:id="l131"/>or witnesses. And they sing a new song with harps &amp; in that respect <lb xml:id="l132"/>are Prophets. For singing <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> musical instruments is prophesying (1 Chron. <lb xml:id="l133"/>25. 1, 2, 3. 2 King. 3. 15. 1 Sam. 10. 5.) And in their mouth was found no <lb xml:id="l134"/>lye (Apoc. 14. 5) &amp; therefore they are true Witnesses &amp; true Prophets. And <lb xml:id="l135"/>as these Prophesy in the inner court of the first Temple by singing with <lb xml:id="l136"/>harps at the sacrifices offered in that Temple so it is to be con<lb xml:id="l137"/>ceived that the two Witnesses prophesy in the inner court of the <add indicator="yes" place="supralinear">second</add> <lb xml:id="l138"/>Temple by singing with harps at the sacrifices offered in this <lb xml:id="l139"/>Temple. For they have power to smite the earth with all <lb xml:id="l140"/>plagues as often as they will, that is, with the plagues of the se<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l141"/>ven wars represented by the sacrifices at <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> the seven trumpets <lb xml:id="l142"/>sound. So then the worship in both Temples is one &amp; the same <lb xml:id="l157"/>in form, &amp; has one &amp; the same signification.</p>
<p xml:id="par7">But tho the two Witnesses prophesy during all the seven <lb xml:id="l158"/>sacrifices, yet it is not to be conceived that they prophesy all this <lb xml:id="l159"/>time in sackcloth.
